For Drivers: LogChecker Live is an App to assist drivers and staff manage heavy vehicle fatigue compliance. Drivers simply select work or rest on their iOS or android device.
For Employers: LogChecker Live shows a real time view of a drivers fatigue status via a live replica work diary.
Q: Do I have to use LogChecker Live if I am already using LogChecker?
A: No. You may continue to use LogChecker at the original subscription rate without upgrading.
Q: Is there a sample or trial of the software available?
A: No. During the initial release, LogChecker Live will be available for existing LogChecker Subscribers only.
New customers will first need to subscribe to LogChecker at https://logchecker.com.au. If LogChecker or LogChecker Live are not to your satisfaction, we will provide a full refund if your subscription is cancelled within 7 days.
Q: Is there a contract?
A: There is no “locked in” contract. Subscriptions are on a month by month basis with an automated debit to your nominated credit card on the 15th of each month or the next working day after the 15th of the month.
Q: How does the LogChecker Live Billing Cycle work?
A: LogChecker Live subscriptions are calculated and processed on the 15th of each month. LogChecker will tally the total number of active drivers and non-active drivers that have had work diary pages entered into LogChecker Live since the last billing cycle. If the 15th falls on a weekend or public holiday, your payment will be processed on the next available working day (Monday to Friday).
There is no cost for LogChecker Live for the driver. LogChecker Live is available as a free download from their respective App stores.
Q: How do I get a full refund if I am not happy with your product?
A: If you are not happy with the product and wish to cancel, we will provide a full refund when we are notified by you, in writing, within seven days from initial subscription.
If you are not happy with LogChecker or LogChecker Live please email email@example.com notifying us of your wish to cancel your subscription. We will credit the original nominated card that was entered upon subscription within seven working days.
Q: Will I be charged for Drivers I don’t use?
A: Yes. Unless you mark a driver “inactive” in the system, you will be charged for that driver. If there is any work entered or data accessed, you will be charged for that activity. You must mark a driver inactive prior to the 15th of each month to avoid any charges in the following month.
Q: What is the minimum cost of LogChecker Live per month?
A: The minimum subscription of LogChecker Live is $43.50 per month (plus GST). This amount covers from 1 to 3 drivers. Each additional driver incurs a further subscription cost of $14.50 (plus GST) per month. So for example: 15 drivers would cost $217.50 (plus GST); One, two or three drivers will cost $43.50 (plus GST).
Q: Can I retrieve data from LogChecker Live?
A: Yes, within the scope of available reports. You are welcome to take advantage of the built in reports as they can be an invaluable tool for your management reports, driver training and “Corrective Action” close out. LogChecker does have the facility to export selected report data via Excel, CSV and PDF.
Q: All the States have different interpretations of counting. Which interpretation is LogChecker Live based on?
A: LogChecker Live is based on the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL). The rules in relation to work, rest and counting time can be found on the NHVR website: https://www.nhvr.gov.au/safety-accreditation-compliance/fatigue-management/work-and-rest-requirements
Q: If LogChecker Live notifies me of a breach or pending breach, what do I do next?
A: Your LogChecker Live Diary view will show a live view of your working drivers with “Breach Icons” showing breaches that have occurred and potential breaches for each rule in the future. This will assist allocators and schedulers in knowing the current fatigue compliance status of each driver.
If you are unsure of your responsibilities in this situation, please contact your Fatigue/Compliance Manager, Consultant, Auditor or regulatory authority.
You may contact LogChecker for advice in this area, however this is outside general support and may attract an additional fee.
Q: Does LogChecker Live cater for all Fatigue Rules?
A: Not yet. Unlike LogChecker, LogChecker Live only caters for Standard Solo and BFM Solo. In time we will be adding further Rules including WA and 2UP.
Q: Is LogChecker Live an Electronic Work Diary (EWD)?
A: No. LogChecker Live is a tool for the driver and their supporting staff. In time, LogChecker Live will have an EWD option, once certified by The NHVR.
Q: Can LogChecker Live be used as an alternate record for Standard Hours drivers working within a 100 km radius of their home base.
A: Yes. When the employer has completed all driver fields in LogChecker and the driver uses LogChecker Live.
Q: Does LogChecker cater for Split Rest Breaks?
A: No. LogChecker will identify all breaches in relation to 7-hour breaks.
A ‘Split Rest Break’ (under BFM) is not a Fatigue Rule but a “Defence for solo drivers operating under BFM hours”. It is an unplanned irregular activity (that is not recommended under HVNL), LogChecker Live does not cater for the potential scenarios or external requirements of split rest breaks.
You may at your discretion mark a breach as a split rest break where identified by the driver in accordance with The HVNL and as noted on page 34 of the written work diary. This can be done by marking the breach as ‘No Action Required’ whereby you can log a split rest break in the notes section.
